Local History Society Meeting

Place: Compton & Shawford Sports Pavilion

What for: Open meeting for anyone with an interest in our local history.

We particularly welcome people with an interest in a particular area of local history who would like to help with research.

Outline Agenda

  1. Welcome and introductions.
  2. Notes from the meeting held on 16th January 2017
  3. Developments & interest since then.
    1. WW1 Scouts Project.
    2. The Local History Web-Site https://lhs.comptonshawford.uk/.
    3. Explorations of church history ( windows; church yard etc)
    4. Heathcote Players.
    5. Recent Map Course at County Archives.
  4. Any other news and ideas for future research.

Please contribute £1 towards costs of using the building.
